Bio Charles Meyers, MD

Charles “Snuffy“ Meyers, MD, received his medical school and residency training at the University of Pennsylvania followed by a fellowship at the National Cancer Institute (NCI). He subsequently held the position of clinical director of the pharmacology branch at the NCI. As a prostate cancer patient himself, Dr. Meyers established the American Institute for Diseases of the Prostate in Earlysville, Virginia, through which he cared for thousands of prostate cancer patients with the objective of achieving durable complete disease remission. Although now retired, Dr. Meyers was an early promoter of using transdermal estradiol to suppress testosterone.
